A Monday Edition of the Walker AC Experience for August 30th

Narcissism is a mental disorder and the pursuit of gratification from vanity or egotistic admiration of one's idealized self-image and attributes. The term originated from Greek mythology, where a young man named Narcissus fell in love with his own image reflected in a pool of water. Narcissism or pathological self-absorption was first identified as a disorder in 1898 by Havelock Ellis[1] and featured in subsequent psychological models, e.g. in Freud's On Narcissism (1914). The American Psychiatric Association has listed the classification narcissistic personality disorder in its Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) since 1968, drawing on the historical concept of megalomania.
Relationships: Pain, recovery, healing, and moving forward. It's never easy. It's work from both parties. But what is the process if you've survived a relationship with a narcissistic sociopath? We sit down and have a conversation with a viewpoint from a dear friend. We are taken through a journey through her eyes.

Stuttering, also known as stammering, is a speech disorder in which the flow of speech is disrupted by involuntary repetitions and prolongations of sounds, syllables, words, or phrases as well as involuntary silent pauses or blocks in which the person who stutters is unable to produce sounds.[2] The term stuttering is most commonly associated with involuntary sound repetition, but it also encompasses the abnormal hesitation or pausing before speech, referred to by people who stutter as blocks, and the prolongation of certain sounds, usually vowels or semivowels.

Thank you for joining us today as we review the movie: "Party Monster". Party Monster is based on a true story about the death of Club Kid Angel Melendez, written from the perspective of James St.James who was also a lead character in the movie.  Ditected by Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, Party Monster'' tells the story of Michael Alig, a young man from the provinces of Indiana who becomes an infamous figure in the downtown New York partylife during  the 80's and early 90's. After meeting one of the original Club Kids,, James St.James, Michael learned all the rules of becoming one of the most celebrated Club Kids. The movie is filled with colorful and chaotic scenes as we watch a story of a broken young man manipulate his way into becoming a club life celebrity before going to prison for the murder of Angel Menendez, a fellow club kid and drug dealer.
